MARKET COMMENTARY
Gilts continued to do well, rising by 4.3% over the quarter. Internationally, UK Treasuries are seen as something of a safe haven. An additional Quantitative Easing package also helped to maintain enthusiasm of the asset class.

We are based in ten offices across Scotland - Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Elgin, Forfar, Fraserburgh, Glasgow, Huntly, Inverness, Inverurie and Perth.
Our reputation for providing quality financial advice is based on the expertise of our team:
- Three of our Directors and one of our Financial Planners have the Advanced Diploma and hold Chartered Status (this is held by less than 5% of financial planners in the UK)
- Three of our Financial Planners hold the Diploma in Financial Planning (held by less than 15% of financial advisers in the UK)
- All our Financial Planners have achieved the Certificate in Financial Planning
- Six of our administration staff hold the Certificate in Financial Planning - the same standard of qualification legally required by advisers - our other administration staff are encouraged to work towards this

OUR FEES
At Johnston Carmichael Financial Services Ltd we will provide you with an initial consultation at our cost, without obligation.
Payment for the services we provide are arranged through fees (either paid direct from yourself, from the product provider, or by a combination of both). We will discuss your payment options with you and answer any questions you have.
The amount will depend upon individual circumstances and will be confirmed with you at the outset before we carry out any work on your behalf.
We will be pleased to provide estimates if requested and we will seek client's approval in advance if it appears that estimates may be exceeded.
We will not charge you until we have agreed with you how we are to be paid.
